If you are looking for a desktop search tool, Yahoo does indeed make one, http://desktop.yahoo.com/ but there are also others such as the MSN desktop search, http://toolbar.msn.com/, Google Destkop Search, http://desktop.google.com/ and Copernic Desktop Search, http://www.copernic.com/

My favorite among these is Copernic because it is just a desktop search, no online features, no web search and now “sidebar” with news and such in it.
