What do you think is the best web development application/package to use within the OS X Operating System?

Question by DayZd Juggernaut: What do you think is the best web development application/package to use within the OS X Operating System?
I have used Microsoft Frontpage for so long that I cannot stand to use anything else to write web apps in. I only use Frontpage for writing tables and looking at my design, but it works so well for me that nothing I’ve found to date in the Mac environment compares. I’ve tried Dreamweaver, NVU, Adobe products, and several other web environments, but nothing is as simple and effective as Frontpage for the way I work.

Please, if there is an exceptional web app dev environment for the Mac, please tell me as I prefer the OS X OS over Winders exponentially and I am really upset about having to give up my 17 inch Powerbook G4 with the PowerPC processor and security for something that dual boots. I have both, the Macbook and the powerbook, but dayem, I paid so much for this powerbook and it is still so very cool. HELP!!!

PS. I write all code in a text editor, so coding is not important, it’s just the design window that matters.
Hey Glass, I agree with that philosophy, but I really HATE Microsoft for their EVIL behavior as a company and OS X doesn’t require anti-EVERYTHING to be installed to run like an OS should run. Windows requires you wear a condom before even thinking about going online. I want to get totally away from Windows. That is my ultimate goal.

Response #1, I do not do static sites.

Have you tried iWeb from apple! We use it to crank out sites, it’s as easy to use as word or powerpoint, and much more powerful!

http://jpassoc.com was done in less than a week as a first web project for a friend!

I use bbedit, very nice text based editor for html , xml, css, Javascript and more!

UPDATE:

I don’t do static sites either! heavy into ajax and dynamic content. I still use bbedit for the source files!

http://jpassoc.com/junior was all hand coded in bbedit.
