Question by Me: I have an Hp all in one desktop computer and I do not know how to use the webcam with yahoo messenger?
I can use the webcam in the hp touchsmart location but when on yahoo messenger it keeps saying the webcam cannot be found. What to do???

Question by Teddy: since Yahoo Desktop Search was replaced by the X1 thing, it no longer achieves the Yahoo messenger chat logs?
and since X1 replaced it, the old Yahoo Desktop Search program was totally replaced by the X1 and therefore can’t be downloaded anymore…
So my question is, is there anyways to make a copy of my achieved yahoo messenger chat logs??? a colorful copy with the emoticons and fonts, not just the plain text….

Fastest way is:
Open IExplorer>select Tools menu> select manage add-ons >select enable or disable add ons> in show scroll window choose show add-ons currently loaded in Internet explorer >from the enabled files select all those related to the yahoo desktop > and press disable> OK> Restart IExplorer.
IF THIS WORKS WHICH IT SHOULD CLOSE IEXPLORER AND PROCEED TO UNINSTALL THE PROGRAM.
Find with Windows Explorer the Yahoo Desk exe or whatever the program is called. Delete its whole folder completely.
or
Start>run>regedit> find string “yahoo desktop search ” or whatever is the name of programs and delete any line in the registry related to the yahoo desktop.
Restart machine. you should be OK and successfully removed the problem!

I am unable to uninstall Yahoo Desktop Search. It throws this error message: Please close Yahoo Desktop Search before attempting to uninstall. I am unable to open Yahoo Desktop Search; so I am unable to close it either. It just stopped functioning. Please suggest what do I do.
Cont+Alt+Del or crashing my PC holding the ON/OFF button cannot solve, since I did not open the Yahoo Desktop Search in the first place. In fact, I am unable to open it. The error message still appears asking me to close first, when I have not even opened it.
(1) Yahoo Search does not appear in Task Bar as a running application for corrective action. (2) Reinstalling Yahoo for repair is not helpful, since a message appears asking me to first close the open YS application. (3) I have not opened the YS. So, how do I close it? (4) If I click on YS ikon to open (such that I may close it formally), it wouldn’t open. (5) I have tried doing this, with my Norton deactivated as well.

if you clear down the address at the top to just worldsbiggestchat, you will see there is a message saying they are having problems with their servers/network – nowt new there, it seems they have now been down since about 3.30am today.
Advice – just keep trying!
