I’m thinking of getting one of these graphics cards:

BFG NVIDIA GeForce 9800 GT 1GB GDDR3 PCI-E Video Card
BFG GeForce 9800GT OC 1GB PCI-Express Graphics Card

would those be good choices and would they work? which one is better? should I get a different one altogether?

Yes, you should be able to upgrade the computer. Just be sure to purchase the same version of Graphics card and RAM. When you look into purchasing RAM, for this computer the only info you will need is: Technology DDR3 SDRAM – Non-ECC (make sure that the new RAM you purchase is DDR3 SDRAM.)
