Question by DrPreston: Is it possible to host a remote application in Windows XP and access it on a Windows 7 machine?
I ask because I need to access Outlook on my work machine while on my personal machine and I don’t want a whole remote desktop session cluttering my desktop.
The Windows XP machine is a work provided machine and I can’t hook up my personal copy of outlook to our exchange server (company policy). That’s why I can’t just run Outlook on the Windows 7 machine.

Let me get this right. You want to control the application on the remote host but you don’t want remote desktop? In that case, you have to use something like Citrix. But trust me, you’d be much better off with MS’s own RDP (mstsc.exe).
