Question by Neeraj Yadav♄: How to setup web application on apache/tomcat/mysql in hosting environment?
Hi guys,
I have this web application which has to be integrated on hosting server
It has to deployed in apache tomcat plus we have to integrate with payment gateway(provided by local bank) and we will be using Mysql as DB plus Struts.

As i havent done it ever on hosting environment(especialy payment gateway&struts together) Can anybody explain me each and every
steps how to do this.

Any suggestions ..for proper WebHosting server ?
I feel godaddy wouldnt be enough for my requirements ..as we need to integarte whole lot of thing together plus we want to upgarde the application regularly.

The payment gateway should be straightforward and provided either by your merchant bank or a third party processor, such as authorize.net.

Basically, the bank or processor will send you documentation that explains how to send, via a standard Web request, the credit card information; the documentation will also explain the information they will send back to indicate if the transaction was approved or denied.

If you work in Struts, you simply use its methods for making Web requests and send the information your told to send; you then use struts to process the response.

If you use a virtual dedicated or dedicated server from GoDaddy, you can pretty much install anything you want on it, including Tomcat / Struts. You have near-total control over a virtual Web server and complete control over a dedicated server.

I am using their Windows virtual dedicated server for a project I am doing now. I have installed several programs on it, have configured IIS and SQL Server Express to work exactly as I want, and find support to be very responsive.

So if you can afford the about $ 50-$ 70 per month a virtual dedicated server costs, that’s a great alternative.
