How do you rate Alienware Desktop computers for gaming?

I am thinking of purchasing an alienware desktop computer, and was wondering what everyone from yahoo answers thought about the quality and durability of these computers. I usually get laptops and I recently found out that you can’t upgrade the graphics in laptops so I’m looking for a nice desktop that I’ll be able to upgrade the graphics later as better graphics come out. I usually only buy computers or laptops in the $ 500.00-$ 600.00 price range. The alienware desktops are around $ 1000 starting price….are they worth the money?? I will primarily be using the computer for online gaming. Games like Second Life and possibly Warcraft. Any feedback is much appreciated.
