Question by MelT: How do I get rid of a small window on my desktop? What is it?
This small, one inch high box, appears on my computer desktop every day. It is always hidden in the upper left hand corner of my computer screen. When I pull it out I can’t view the properties, I can’t make it bigger/smaller and I don’t know what it is. It looks like a regular window or internet browser window downsized to a tiny size and some times the color changes in the center box, especially when I mess with it. Is some one spying on my computer? Is it a script? How can I tell if some one is tapping into my computer or coming in through other unused internet or network ports? Can a router help?

Its a tracking window. It usually comes with popups so they can keep you connected to their website and continue to pop windows up on you. You can open task manager ctrl-alt-del and end the task.
