How do I connect remote desktop from a Vista computer to a Windows 98 computer?

Question by Shawn The Bartender: How do I connect remote desktop from a Vista computer to a Windows 98 computer?
Specifically, I don’t know if the other computer has the software to run it. (If it has it, what’s the path?) I know where the remote desktop program is on my Vista machine, but have no idea how to make this work. I have the IP address and someone to make changes on the other end.

Windows 98 Does not support Remote Desktop (new in NT/2000)

Get this on the 98 computer instead and then log in using your vista browser using your logmein account (works over WAN tooo!!!! using MAC and Linux as clients too! (any java supported browser))
https://secure.logmein.com/products/free/

If it won’t install, download and install this first
http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/details.aspx?FamilyID=cebbacd8-c094-4255-b702-de3bb768148f&DisplayLang=en
then try to reinstall

Use the free version (it’s unlimited)
