How do I connect my desktop computer to a wireless network so I can share printers and files?

Question by Ashley Michelle: How do I connect my desktop computer to a wireless network so I can share printers and files?
I have a desktop computer that is not wireless but I have it connected to a wireless router. I can get internet access but I can’t connect my 2 laptops with my desktop. My printer and a bunch of files I have that I would like to share with my laptops are all on my desktop but when I go into control panel to try to run a wizard my desktop never shows up on my laptops. My desktop also never shows that I have any wireless networks in the control panel wizard. Do I need a wireless adapter for my desktop even though it’s connected to my router by a ethernet cord? I also thought about just plugging my printer up to my router but there is not usb cord. I thought about just buying a wireless printer but If I don’t have wireless ability on my desktop i’m not sure if it will work. Please Help? thank you! I’m driving myself crazy trying to figure it out.
