Question by xblh3andwh: How can my laptop wirelessly connect to my desktop printer?
I have a desktop that’s hooked up to my home’s router via ethernet cable and my printer via USB cable. I recently purchased a macbook, and I connect wirelessly to my home router. Is there any way I can use my macbook to print documents even though it’s not wired to the printer?

The mac defaults the Windows Workgroup to be named Workgroup. So its easiest to have the Windows PC on the same, so right click on Computer (or My Computer) go to properties, go to computer name, change the workgroup to be named Workgroup.
right click on your printer, go to SHARING and Security. Click to SHARE this printer.
on the mac go to settings and preferences, go to printers. click the PLUS button to add a printer. at the top click to ADD a Windows printer.
In a perfect world, it will show up under Workgroup, however, i see many times, macs and pcs don’t mix well, so its hit or miss.
