To apply for a partnership go to www.youtube.com You must not have any strikes on your account. So if you have any DMCA’s don’t just delete the video that won’t make it go away. You may be able to dispute the claim. You need to have your videos regularly viewed in the thousands (obviously if I were to apply today I would not get in LOL) You need to own the rights to everything in your videos. When it comes to fair use, YouTube does not care. Once you get in you can get away with it some but not before. What I did when I applied is I just deleted the necessary videos and then re-uploaded them once I got in. However don’t delete a video just because it got a DMCA that won’t get rid of the copyright strike. Also for new partners. The people who review videos only work Monday through Friday so don’t upload a video on the weekends. Once you get through the trial period you will find that you can get ads on a video within a few minutes. I always upload videos to private. Once they get ads on them YouTube automatically sets them to public.
