My emachine windows-xp tower is gone!! Using my old tower toshiba peoplepc windows98. How can I get this tower to Windows-xp?? I know NOTHING about towers..So pl’s give details…Thanks

sorry to tell you but if it’s running “98″ then it will probably be to old to install windows XP on, sorry i can’t help you more.

Do an upgrade install. In BIOS put the cd first in boot order, insert the XP cd and reboot.
It may be a bit difficult to upgrade, but it is not impossible. I have known more than 100 “98″ PCs which were upgraded to XP and worked fine. Your existing PC may need more RAM. Well done for choosing XP and not Vista.
