Productive desktop, netbook edition
In order to get this desktop I got inspiration in the minimalist Desktop, found here lifehacker.com/5280484/the-minimalist-os-x-desktop, and mixed it with the ideas of the layered desktop found here lifehacker.com/399021/layered-desktop-wallpaper-organizes…. The wallpaper is 1024 x 600 because I use it on my lenovo S10 with mac os X. Actually the layers extended to the dashboard too as you can see in the next image.
Date, hour, icalevents and taskpapers todos were added with geektool, icalbuddy and the little trick of rename my todo.taskpaper to todo.txt – don´t worry, taskpaper will continue to open it —, which, instead of using the geektool file option, I exhibit with the unix cat command in order to get it updated regularly.

In my experience Lenovo has done very well, especially with keeping the Think Pads/Think Centers at the high standard that IBM had. I have a Lenovo T60p and I love the laptop. Look into the Dell Studio Slims, My roommate has one and he loves it. It’s a great deal for a small PC and it can play most games. Something to think about is that Lenovo will have computers geared for business rather than gaming, which makes a big difference sometimes.

Lenovo is releasing its latest range of notebooks, desktops and trademark ThinkPads with Intel’s latest Sandy Bridge chips as early as the end of January.
Australian eyes got a glimpse of the new PCs at Intel’s Sandy Bridge conference in Sydney yesterday, sporting the latest tech with extra reasonably priced prices than the typical new pc.
The IdeaPad Y560p was revealed to Australian audiences, packing high-performance innards to make it a top-flight multimedia machine for the consumer space. Apart from the Intel Core i7 processor, the IdeaPad features up to a 750GB HDD and 8GB of DDR3 RAM to make this an extra fast system.
If it that is not quick sufficient, Lenovo has dropped within the choice of a ‘RapidDrive’ which combines a 32GB solid state drive with a HDD that speeds up performance of storage to make it that little bit quicker.
The IdeaPad Y560p is the initial of the new range to hit stores, offered from January 31, beginning at ,649.
